Church Music Future is a growing network which helps you to make the most of the music resources in your church, both in worship and in mission/outreach to your wider community.
How can CMF help you?
CMF believes all churches can - and should - have access to good music, regardless of size or resources. CMF's advisers have a wealth of expertise and experience in helping churches develop their music, and work with clergy, musicians, dioceses, partner organisations and the wider Church to achieve this.
CMF works in partnership with Anglican Catholic Future and many other organisations to ensure that its members have access to the widest possible range of support and advice.
- One-to-one, tailored guidance to individual churches, clergypeople or musicians, in all matters concerning music, liturgy, mission, and fund-raising
- A range of inspirational and practical training events and workshops throughout the UK
- Free access to a website knowledgebase and blog, where common questions and topical themes are explored
Via the who are we? page, you can see the range of services CMF's advisers cover, decide which best fits your needs, and contact them directly. CMF will help you develop your choir, instrumental group, or congregational singing: typically through practical advice on repertoire, recruitment, and management; church visits; and masterclasses for your musicians.
CMF can also help churches wishing to use music as an integral part of their Mission Action Plan, with advice on concerts, education/outreach work, and engagement with young people, families, and your wider community, through music.
Our fund-raising advisers will help you secure a solid financial future for the development of your church's music. Our Education Adviser will help you establish fruitful partnerships with local schools, young people's organisations, and music providers in your area.
Events and Workshops
You can keep in touch with our events programme via the website, by subscribing to our mailing list, and by following our Twitter/Facebook feeds. Event discounts are available to all those on the CMF mailing list, and to members of partner organisations.
The knowledgebase contains a series of factsheets covering common questions asked by clergy and musicians. These are free to download, and always available when you need them. The blog is regularly updated with advice and ideas on topical issues, written by church music experts.
Church Music Future is unique in being completely free to join: just by subscribing to the mailing list, you become a member, and are entitled to use our logos on your church website and correspondence. You only pay for the services you use: one-to-one support, or attendance at our events. And do encourage your colleagues, friends, and members of your church to sign up too!
